Suns vs. Jazz Prediction for Friday, 11/17 on ESPN
When these teams met at the end of October, the Suns were able to pull off an extremely comfortable victory by a final of 126-104. That’s even more significant as Phoenix was without Devin Booker and have been for eight of their 11 games.
So, when you see a 5-6 Suns team, don’t let that fool you. They’re still one of the most dynamic offenses with Booker, Kevin Durant and now Bradley Beal, and we’re predicting that to lead to a high-scoring game tonight. However, for our best Suns vs. Jazz prediction, the value seems to be on the point spread.
With Phoenix on the road and a sub-.500 record, oddsmakers don’t seem to be giving them the proper respect. We’ll happily take the value, as with Booker back on the court, they were able to pour on 133 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves just two nights ago. Utah has won their last two games, but they came against the Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies, the two teams at the bottom of the Western Conference with a combined 5-17 record.
With all that in mind, our best Suns vs. Jazz prediction is on Phoenix -5.5 (-110 at FanDuel Sportsbook).
Suns vs. Jazz Player Prop Picks and Expert Best Bet Featuring Devin Booker & Kelly Olynyk
We mentioned that we also had Suns vs. Jazz player props for you, so let’s dive into those. Our first pick is as basic as it gets, but there’s simply no reason to stray away from it. Even with Durant also on the court, Booker continues to be an elite point-scorer.
In his return, he scored 31 points, and in his three games this season, he’s scored at least that many in each one. On top of that, he’s also excelled against Utah, averaging just under 34 points per game in his last nine matchups with them.
Along with Utah currently allowing the fifth-most points per game, the first of our Suns vs. Jazz player props is on Devin Booker over 27.5 points (-122 at FanDuel Sportsbook). As for our second play, it’s a slightly different approach and focused on the opposition. If there’s one thing teams have struggled to do against Phoenix, it’s rebound.
Thanks to the presence of Jusuf Nurkic, the Suns are allowing the third-fewest rebounds per game. With the Jazz missing Walker Kessler due to injury - which also helps support our Suns vs. Jazz prediction - it’s going to be tough sledding for Kelly Olynyk. He had a respectable six rebounds against Phoenix last month, but they should now be able to put more emphasis on him this time around.
Therefore, we’ll close out our Suns vs. Jazz player props with Kelly Olynyk under rebounds once or if it becomes available at FanDuel Sportsbook.
