Devin Booker, Suns Finalizing Supermax Extension

Shortly after the 6:00 p.m. ET starting point for contract negotiations to begin, the Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker are finalizing a four-year, $214 million supermax extension according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Booker became eligible for the deal after making All-NBA honors as a first team player this past season. The 2021-22 season also marked the third All-Star game nod for Booker as well.
The new extension won't take into effect until the 2024-25 season. As of now, Booker can only verbally agree to the deal, as teams must wait until six hours past midnight on July 1 to make the extension official.
Charania also pointed out Booker will be the cover athlete for NBA 2K23. He'll become the first Suns player to grace the basketball video game cover, although teammate Chris Paul landed on the the NBA2K8 cover when he was with New Orleans.
