Suns Reveal Starters vs Nuggets
PHOENIX -- Without the talents of Devin Booker at their disposal, the Phoenix Suns will utilize the following starting lineup tonight against the Denver Nuggets:
Bradley Beal
Grayson Allen
Royce O'Neale
Kevin Durant
Jusuf Nurkic
Booker is expected to be out for the next week due to a sprained ankle, according to NBA insider Shams Charania:
"The Suns and Devin Booker are bracing for his right ankle sprain to keep him sidelined for at least the next seven to ten days, sources tell me. Booker suffered the ankle sprain on Saturday and the Suns are 31-19 with him in the lineup this year and just 4-17 without," - Shams Charania
Suns forward Kevin Durant gave a fairly direct answer on how the team can overcome Booker's absence.
"Go out there, do your job and play hard. That'll make up for a lot of stuff we're missing," he told The Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin earlier today.
O'Neale previously got the starting nod on Sunday in Booker's place. The Suns have lost back-to-back games exiting the weekend.
Along with Booker, Josh Okogie (lower ab strain), Nassir Little (knee inflammation) and Damion Lee (knee) were all previously ruled out due to injury.
Nurkic - coming off a 31-rebound performance over the weekend - was questionable with right calf tightness but will play.
Suns-Nuggets is slated for tip-off just past 8:00 PM Arizona time.
