Suns' First-Round Playoff Opponent Revealed
The Phoenix Suns climb up to the sixth seed.
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs, which is set to begin next weekend.
The Suns just defeated the Timberwolves on Sunday in 125-106 fashion. Phoenix finished the regular season 3-0 against Minnesota and won each matchup by double digits.
Both teams had something to fight for heading into the season finale. The Suns needed a win to jump from the seventh spot to the sixth seed along with a New Orleans Pelicans loss. New Orleans fell to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
Minnesota held opportunity to grab the West's No. 1 seed, as they were tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets heading into Game 82. The Timberwolves dropped to the No. 3 seed with their loss and will host the sixth-seeded Suns.

Western Conference Play-In Tournament
The Sacramento Kings (9) will host the Golden State Warriors (10) while the New Orleans Pelicans (7) host the Los Angeles Lakers (8).
The play-in tournament begins on April 16 while the NBA Playoffs begin on April 20.
