PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns are expected to bring back guard Isaiah Thomas for a second ten-day deal, according to The Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin.
"Suns are planning to sign Isaiah Thomas to a second 10-day. Today is last day of 1st," Rankin reported on Twitter/X.
The Suns first brought Thomas on a ten-day deal back on March 20. The former All-NBA guard has played just two minutes for Phoenix since, which came in garbage time in a home win against the Philadelphia 76ers. Thomas - a previous player for the organization - was met with applause from the home crowd.
Thomas reciprocated the love back on social media:
Suns coach Frank Vogel has been very clear about Thomas' role with Phoenix, telling reporters he was essentially brought on as extra insurance for Saben Lee (currently on a two-way deal with eligible games running out) and would only play if injuries arose.
Since Thomas arrived, the Suns have been mostly healthy in the backcourt.
Phoenix is currently 43-30 with the No. 7 seed in the West with less than ten games remaining.
