Suns Reveal Final Status of Jusuf Nurkic vs Thunder

Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic was first listed as questionable tonight

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns will have Jusuf Nurkic available tonight in their road contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Nurkic was initially ruled questionable with an ankle sprain he picked up in Monday's game against San Antonio. He was also questionable for Wednesday's tilt in Denver before being ruled out ahead of game time.

The Suns are in a tight Western Conference playoff picture, currently sitting as the No. 7 seed with a 43-30 record. They've won their last four-of-five entering tonight and are slight favorites in sportsbooks.

Nurkic has been a massive part of Phoenix's success this season, as his ability to distribute and play around the rim has been well received from teammates, coaches and fans since arriving via trade ahead of the preseason.

Nurkic's 68 games are the most played out of anybody on Phoenix's roster. He's currently averaging 11.3 points, 11 rebounds and 3.8 assists per night.

The Thunder will be without star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tonight due to a right quad injury. Oklahoma City sits as the No. 2 spot in the West and just half a game behind the Denver Nuggets - who the Suns have now defeated twice on the road this season.

Suns-Thunder will tip just past 5:00 PM Arizona time.
