Injury Report, Updated Odds (2/29): Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs
The Oklahoma City Thunder is among the hottest teams in the NBA. They have a chance to build on their six-game winning streak as they travel to take on the San Antonio Spurs in a Leap Day battle.
While the Thunder is currently seeking a seventh straight win and an opportunity to tie the Minnesota Timberwolves for the top seed in the Western Conference again, the Spurs are on a five-game losing streak as they are the worst team in the conference.
As the Thunder has passed the 40-before-20 rules established by Phil Jackson as a baseline for contending teams, they continue building on their incredible record as the season inches closer and closer to postseason basketball.
Injury Report
Thunder:
Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)
Adam Flagler, OUT (G League)
Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)
Olivier Sarr, OUT (G League)
Spurs:
Dominick Barlow, OUT (G League)
Sidy Cissoko, OUT (G League)
Mamadi Diakite, OUT (G League)
David Duke Jr., OUT (G League)
Marcus Morris Jr., OUT (Not with team)
Charles Bassey, OUT (Knee)
While the injury report appears to be awfully lengthy, the truth is most of the absences are because of G League assignments. There's one injury and absence because Marcus Morris isn't with the Spurs, but there's nothing on the injury report that will make a big difference in the game.
Updated Odds
The Thunder, traveling to San Antonio, are 11.5-point favorites. They're obviously the better team in this game, as one is competing for the top seed in the conference while the other is comfortably the bottom seed in the conference.
The two teams have played twice this season, and both times the Thunder has come away with blowout victories. The only thing that might come from this game is Victor Wembanyama's highlights and claims of him being better than Chet Holmgren in a rivalry the NBA seems to be trying to force.
