Injury Report, Updated Odds (4/7): Oklahoma City Thunder at Charlotte Hornets
Can the Thunder snap its longest losing streak of the season in Charlotte?
The Oklahoma City Thunder is looking to avoid a fourth-straight loss, which would extend their longest losing streak of the season, as they take on the Charlotte Hornets on the road.
The battle against the Hornets marks the end of a long east coast road trip before the Thunder returns home for four games at the Paycom Center to close out the regular season.
With the playoffs near, the Thunder's main focus should be remaining sharp while getting 100 percent healthy. Still, bouncing back from a big losing streak -- no matter who is active in this one -- would be a big turn for the Thunder as the regular season winds down.
Injury Report
Thunder:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OUT (Quad)
Jalen Williams, OUT (Ankle)
Gordon Hayward, OUT (Tibialis)
Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)
Olivier Sarr, OUT (G League)
Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)
Adam Flagler, OUT (G League)
Hornets:
Leaky Black, Questionable (Abdominal)
Nick Richards, Questionable (Plantar Fascia)
Amari Bailey, Doubtful (Illness)
LaMelo Ball, OUT (Ankle)
Seth Curry, OUT (Ankle)
Cody Martin, OUT (Ankle)
Mark Williams, OUT (Back)
The Hornets are just as impacted by injuries as the Thunder when it comes to volume, but the Thunder missing both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams -- once again -- is a substantial hit. Still, the same remains true as the most important thing down the stretch of the regular season is the the team's health rolling into the playoffs.
The Hornets not having Ball makes things a bit easier for the Thunder. This provides a big opportunity for the Thunder to end their losing streak and head the right direction before returning home.
Updated Odds
Despite not having their main two stars, the Thunder is an 8.5-point favorite. This is a game they should be able to win, despite the personnel available, which would be huge moving onto their next stretch of games.
