Karl-Anthony Towns good to go for Wolves for Thursday's game vs. Mavericks
Karl-Anthony Towns will play Thursday night against the Dallas Mavericks, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said.
Towns was listed as questionable ahead of the game with left knee soreness. He had previously missed Saturday’s game in Sacramento after tweaking the knee during a Dec. 21 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
He returned to the lineup on Tuesday and had 16 points and six rebounds in the Wolves’ 129-106 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Towns is the Timberwolves' second-leading scorer, averaging 22 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
Finch said that Towns didn’t quite look like himself during Tuesday’s game, but that he wasn’t sure whether that was solely because of the injury or if it was due to the team struggling as a whole.
“It didn’t look like he had the same activity that he’s had all season,” Finch said.
The Timberwolves will hope to get him going against the undermanned Mavericks, who will be without stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving Thursday night.
