Karl-Anthony Towns questionable for Thursday's game vs. Mavericks
The Timberwolves have listed Karl-Anthony Towns as questionable for Thursday’s home game against the Dallas Mavericks due to left knee soreness.
Towns missed Saturday’s game in Sacramento with left knee soreness after tweaking the knee during Thursday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers. He did, however, return on Tuesday and had 16 points and six rebounds in a 129-106 loss at Oklahoma City.
Towns is Minnesota’s second-leading scorer, averaging 22.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this season. Saturday’s game is the only one he’s missed all season. He missed significant time last season with a calf injury and Minnesota struggled in his absence, needing a play-in victory to reach the postseason.
Towns is a big reason why the Timberwolves have jumped out to a 22-7 start this season and are in first place in the Western Conference.
After Thursday’s game, the Wolves have another home game against the Lakers on Saturday.
