Warriors vs. Bucks Predictions for Today, 1/13

The Warriors always get every team’s best effort, so it’s difficult to say that they have an exceptionally tough test tonight, but with how the Bucks just looked on Thursday night, most fans would agree. Milwaukee also experienced a rough stretch in their season, but got back on track by torching the league-best Boston Celtics 135-102.

That’s certainly not to say that the Warriors can’t keep things close, especially given that the Bucks have been awful against the spread this season - they have the fifth-worst ATS record thus far. On the flip side, they have the fifth-best record in terms of going over the total, or over/under.

Similarly, the Warriors are a top-10 team in that regard as well. When we have superstars like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Giannis Antetokounmpo on the court, that’s not exactly a shock. We also have Golden State on the second night of a back-to-back, and where we generally see the fatigue kick in first is on the defensive end of the court.

It’s a high total, but with two top-10 scoring teams, we’re still confident in making our best Warriors vs. Bucks prediction Over 246 Points (-110 at FanDuel).

Warriors vs. Bucks Player Props & Expert Picks Featuring Klay Thompson & Giannis Antetokounmpo

We already mentioned that we don’t feel comfortable trusting either team in terms of the point spread, and if you feel as though the total is set a bit too high for your taste, we still have Warriors vs. Bucks player props for you!

Given that we’re backing a high-scoring game with our Warriors vs. Bucks prediction, it’s likely no surprise how we’re approaching our player props. First up is Golden State’s Klay Thompson - that’s right, not Steph Curry. We certainly expect a strong game from him, but with how much of a public favorite he has become, his props are often inflated.

Conversely, Klay Thompson not putting up his usual numbers is providing us with great value. We’ll fully admit that he’s not playing his best ball, but it’s important to keep in mind the high standards put on him. Klay still scored 24+ in two of the Warriors’ first four games of 2024, and in two of his last three games against Milwaukee, he scored 22 and 38 points.

Therefore, we’re getting our Warriors vs. Bucks player props started with Klay Thompson O19.5 Points (-102 at FanDuel). Our second play is actually on the Milwaukee side of things and is on none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo. He speaks for himself at this point, so the real question is which prop to target.

The Warriors have long been known as a small team, and of course, their elite shooting has always overcome any defensive weaknesses down low. However, without Draymond Green, their lineups have been in flux even moreso this season. They don’t even have a consistent frontcourt at this point, so we expect Giannis to control the glass.

He’s a triple-double threat every night, but we’re going to focus on his boards; in his last six meetings with Golden State, he’s had less than 12 rebounds just once. He’s another superstar with inflated props, but given the matchup, we’re still comfortable closing out our Warriors vs. Bucks player props with Giannis Antetokounmpo O12.5 Rebounds (-113 at FanDuel).
