Draymond Green Wants Sacramento Kings vs Golden State Warriors Playoff Match
Draymond Green wants the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the playoffs, and not for a reason you'd typically expect.
In an episode of 'The Draymond Green Show', Green revealed why he wanted the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the playoffs. Keep in mind, the Golden State Warriors currently have a 2-1 series advantage against the Kings as well.
"I'm not upset at if the standings shook out how they did today and we met Sacramento in the first round," Green said. "Not because I think Sacramento is a weak team, because the travel is so much easier."
Green wanted to make sure he didn't give the Sacramento Kings any bulletin board material, so he reiterated that he wanted the matchup strictly for travel purposes.
“The reason why I said Sac is simply just because of the travel," Green said. "That's a lot on your body. If we can bus ride an hour and 10 minutes up the way, I just think that’s much better for us. At the end of the day, I don't really care who we play in the playoffs, I think we can win.”
Even with Green explaining his thoughts, his quotes are definitely going to be used as bulletin board material for the Sacramento Kings. It'll easily come off as him being dismissive of the matchup in favor of easier travel. At the same time, the Golden State Warriors are the defending champions, and teams should be more scared of facing them than they are of facing others.
