Klay Thompson Gets Honest About Goals This Season
Klay Thompson's story in the last two seasons has been absolutely phenomenal. After recovering from a torn ACL and torn Achilles tendon, Thompson became an NBA Champion during the 2021-22 NBA season. Despite all the success, there's one thing Klay Thompson still hasn't accomplished during his return.
During the Warriors Media Day session, Klay Thompson got very honest with the media about one of his big goals this NBA season - becoming an All-Star.
"That would be awesome," Thompson said. "It's a goal of mine, and I think it's attainable. It's just how hard I want to work and how ready I'll be opening night. So, it's up to me, and I'm not gonna lie to you it is a goal of mine. It's always an honor to play in the All-Star game. You get used to it, then you don't go for a while, you kinda feel left out. I think it's in Indianapolis this year, I would love to be there."
Even though Klay Thompson has had his moments throughout the past two seasons, no one has truly given him credit for "being back." If Thompson were to finally become an All-Star again, that would finally be the nail in the coffin for his critics. They could finally say that Klay Thompson has returned to the Klay Thompson of old, one that can carry the Warriors in the absence of Steph Curry.
