Warriors Give Draymond Green Update Before Suspension Return

Draymond Green is returning very soon.

It's official, Draymond Green's suspension time is finally up. When the Warriors faced the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, it was the final night of Draymond Green's suspension. Now, the plan for him to return is in place.

After the game, Steve Kerr spoke to media and gave an update on how Draymond Green was doing during the suspension. He actually traveled with the Warriors to Phoenix and played 3-on-3 with the team.

“He's been working hard with Rick. He traveled to Phoenix with us, played 3-on-3, I believe he scrimmaged today—I'm not positive about that,” Kerr said. “But he's been really putting a ton of work in, so hopefully he'll be fine and ready to play a lot of minutes on Tuesday.”

Based on Kerr's statements, there's not going to be much rust with Draymond Green when he returns to the lineup. He'll likely be starting, playing heavy minutes, and back to his usual self. The Warriors desperately need Draymond Green and all the defensive help he can bring right now. After starting the season 6-2, the team went on a six-game losing streak and currently has a losing record - even after barely scrapping by the San Antonio Spurs.

Up next for the Warriors is the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday - a game the Warriors need to be incredibly prepared for.
