Warriors vs. Kings Final Injury Report Revealed
It is officially the time of year when NBA teams begin resting much of their top talent in preparation for the playoffs. While most teams will rule their players out a day in advance, the Sacramento Kings took an interesting approach to their injury report, listing seven players as questionable.
On their initial injury report, the Kings listed De'Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Trey Lyles, Davion Mitchell, Malik Monk, Keegan Murray, and Domantas Sabonis as questionable. In their updated injury report, Sacramento has listed Fox, Sabonis, and Huerter out, while Murray, Monk, Mitchell, and Lyles have been upgraded to available.
For the Warriors, they are only without Andre Iguodala, Andrew Wiggins, and Ryan Rollins. This is a game they need to win, and will have a good opportunity to do so with so many players sidelined for Sacramento. Having not yet secured a top-six seed, Golden State needs every win they can get until they officially clinch a playoff spot.
For the Kings, they are very likely to end up as the third seed. It makes sense for them to begin resting their top talent, as the Grizzlies are just one win away from securing the second seed. By resting their stars, the Kings also don't allow Golden State an early look at a potential 3-6 playoff matchup.
This game between the Warriors and Kings is one Golden State must get, especially with this recent injury report news.
