Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears Prediction for NFL Week 14
The Lions enter this matchup after eking out a win over the Saints last weekend. They got out to a dominant 21-0 start, but their defense continued to be a problem, allowing New Orleans right back in the game. They’ve now surrendered at least 334 total yards in each of their last four games, including one against this same Bears team.
As for their offense, that continues to impress. Week 13 marked their third game in their last four putting up at least 31 points, and they’re ranked fourth in the NFL in both passing and rushing yardage per game. If Jared Goff can limit his recent uncharacteristic turnovers, they should be well on their way to another solid showing.
The Bears, meanwhile, enjoyed a much-deserved bye week last Sunday after stringing together a few positive outings in a row. They’ve been led by the best run defense in the league which has helped limit two of their last three opponents to 13 points or less. It is worth noting that their pass defense hasn’t lived up to quite the same standard.
Chicago has also struggled mightily on offense, mustering up just a shade over 20 points per game. However, when looking at their recent games, one thing is evident: they had no issue scoring against this Detroit defense (26 points).
