Buffalo Bills vs. Chicago Bears Prediction for Saturday's Preseason Game
The Buffalo Bills may opt to give Josh Allen some momentum heading into the season and play him for a series or two and end the preseason on a high note. The Bills have added some pretty nice complementary pieces to their arsenal, with running back Damien Harris and rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid, who has looked the part in the opening game of the preseason.
On the Bears side, head coach Matt Eberflus has left the decision of whether Justin Fields would play in their preseason finale to Fields himself. I would expect Fields to at least get a series or two in before giving way to backups P.J. Walker and Tyson Bagent.
The Bears should be focused on the run like they were last season with the league’s highest percentage of run plays, but adding D.J. Moore this offseason, plus the ever-present rushing threat of Fields should make defenses think twice about stacking the box.
Because of the huge offensive firepower only likely playing a series or two, we’re expecting the game total to be low and certainly lower than the 39.5 game total set on FanDuel Sportsbook for our Bills vs. Bears predictions.
Bills vs. Bears Best Bets & Picks Including Under 39.5
The point spread for Bills vs. Bears is set at Bills -2.5, which let’s face it: this total could fluctuate and anything can happen. Let’s take a bet that we can predict a little better. That would be the game total, which is set at 39.5.
Josh Allen did not play in the first preseason game, but he did play a little bit in the second game against the Steelers, where he went 7-of-10 for 70 yards. If Allen plays against the Bears, we’re hoping he can create some momentum ahead of the regular season opener on Monday Night Football vs. the New York Jets.
Fields is likely to play a series, maybe two, but as far as the offensive line, I wouldn’t be surprised if their starting unit were to rest up for the regular season. That is why I can’t see Fields playing more than a series or two in this game before their home opener vs. the Green Bay Packers.
Because of that, we’re taking the Under 39.5 (-110) at FanDuel Sportsbook.
