Denver Broncos First Pick Predictions & Odds for the 2023 NFL Draft
There was no shortage of buzz surrounding the Denver Broncos heading into 2022, with the acquisition of Russell Wilson and the seemingly impending breakout of Javonte Williams adding fuel to the fire. However, once the games began, the Broncos had a pretty disappointing season, going 5-12 and placing 4th in the AFC West.
This season, the Broncos will look to improve their roster and make a run at a divisional title. Below, we’ll provide our Denver Broncos first pick predictions and explain how to qualify for FanDuel’s Get $5, Get $150 promotion available for new users who create a new account today.

Denver Broncos Current Draft Picks Ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft
Despite a poor 2022 showing, the Denver Broncos will not have a first or second round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft due to trades made over the past two seasons. Instead, the Broncos will first select with the 67th overall pick in the third round, a selection they acquired from the Indianapolis Colts.
They will then pick with the subsequent selection, the 68th overall pick. The Broncos will be back on the board in the 4th round with the 108th pick, the 5th round with the 139th pick, and the 6th round with the 195th pick.
First Pick Predictions for the Denver Broncos Selecting 67th Overall
While the Denver Broncos will not have a first or second round pick in 2023, they will select back-to-back in the third round, with picks 67 and 68. The Broncos have a few needs – first and foremost, they need a center to anchor their offensive line.
Many experts believe the Broncos will call on Luke Wypler out of Ohio State with the 67th pick, provided he’s still on the board. We think this is a likely outcome, though things may get interesting if he’s not there.
If Wypler is not there at the time of the Broncos’ first pick, they have a few options. They can go with a defensive lineman, though it is likely there will be few game-changing names remaining on the board in the third round at the position. If they do go this route, it’s likely to be Zach Harrison, another Ohio State player.
Still, there’s a strong possibility that he is no longer on the board at this point in the draft. While we can predict and analyze all we want, it is extremely difficult to forecast a pick in the third round.
As a result, our best bet for the Broncos' 2023 NFL Draft is for them to draft Stetson Bennett in the third round (+4000 at FanDuel). While this may sound counterintuitive after the big-money acquisition of Russell Wilson, it makes more sense than you’d think.
First, the back-to-back picks the Broncos have in the third round provide them with excellent flexibility. The front office may look to secure a sure-thing type player with one pick (such as a center) and a high-upside skill player with the other.
Running back and wide receiver seem to be locked down for the team for the foreseeable future (though they could use insurance back behind the oft-injured Williams), but the biggest question mark surrounding the Broncos' offense heading into 2023 is surprisingly quarterback play. While Wilson will certainly be the starter heading into the season, another year of poor play may wear on the coaching staff and front office, as well as the fan base.
If the Broncos use one of their two picks on a high-upside quarterback like Stetson Bennett, he will likely have a year to gain experience behind a Hall-of-Fame level quarterback and will be primed to take over in the event of an injury or poor performance from Wilson.
FanDuel currently lists the odds for Bennett to be drafted in the third round (by any team, including the Broncos) at +4000, which we believe provides excellent value. There has certainly been a fair share of controversy and questions around Bennett, but few would argue that he isn’t capable of NFL-level QB play.
The Broncos may just take a shot on him considering Wilson’s poor 2022 season, and you may cash in if you take the leap of faith using our experts’ Denver Broncos first pick predictions.
