Browns Injury Updates: Amari Cooper Inching Back, More on Injured Linebacker

Some good news is on the horizon as the Cleveland Browns will soon have back their top wide receiver. After suffering a tweak early on in training camp, Amari Cooper is expected to be back in just a few days.
Each day, head coach Kevin Stefanski has said that Cooper is progressing along and that was the same today. He remains out along with Marquise Goodwin (blood clots). The Browns did get some help at wide receiver with Amari Cooper making his first appearance in training camp after being activated from the non-football injury list (hamstring).
Linebacker Matthew Adams remained in a walking boot on Thursday after suffering a calf injury on Tuesday. Adams is expected to be out a little while, though it’s not a serious injury.
Linebacker Jacob Phillips left practice early on Thursday but is expected to be fine, per Stefanski.
Like every other NFL team, the Browns are dealing with minor injuries as they ramp up things in training camp. Cleveland will continue to practice at the Greenbrier in West Virginia through Sunday.
