While many consider Cleveland Browns defensive end  Myles Garrett to be front and center in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year, he unfortunately won't be taking home the AFC's weekly award.

Garrett misses out on the award given to Buffalo Bills linebacker Terrell Bernard after he recorded 2 sacks, 1 fumble recovery and 1 interception against the Commanders on Sunday.

Garrett had arguably one of his best weeks in his NFL career by sacking Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill 3.5 times. He also forced a fumble and 3 tackle for loss to go along with 5 qb hurries against the Titans.

Garrett was an absolute game wrecker as the Titans offense couldn't get much of anything going against the Browns defense. Perhaps the highlight of the game was when the Titans were unable to snap the ball due to having two tight ends following Garrett in motion across the formation as he went back and forth.

By no means am I saying that Bernard didn't have a great game as well, but I find it hard to justify the league not giving it to Garrett. It's as if number 95 can get overlooked for these things  because he is considered such freak of nature and so naturally gifted that it's unfair to opposing players.

All Browns fans should cherish what we have in Garrett and appreciate that we are watching one of the most menacing defenders the game has ever seen. Hopefully he will get the recognition that he should rightfully deserve at the end of the year provided he continues to play at this level.
