Ravens are Without Seven Key Players at Practice on Wednesday
The Cleveland Browns got good news with Greg Newsome returning to practice ahead of the matchup with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The Ravens on the other hand continue to be decimated by injuries early in the season.
Coming off an overtime loss at home to the Colts, the Ravens practiced today without seven key players. The Ravens have had some terrible injury luck with the amount of players who have already missed time this season.
While we await the full injury report the following players missed practice on Wednesday. Wide receivers Rashod Bateman who is dealing with a hamstring injury and Odell Beckham Jr. who injured his ankle in week 2 against Cincinnati and missed last week didn't practice.
Edge rushers David Ojabo and Odafe Oweh both were sidelined with ankle injuries that they are both dealing with. The depth at edge will be a big issue if either of the two are unavailable. The Ravens are already without Tyus Bowser who is currently on the NFI list and won't play. The Ravens did sign veteran Kyle Van Noy on Monday and could be needed to play right away.
In the secondary, they are still without cornerback Marlon Humphrey who had a foot surgery during the preseason but is expected to return soon. At safety Geno Stone didn't practice due to a rib injury and Kyle Hamilton was also idle at practice but no reason has been given at this time.
It wasn't all bad news for the Ravens as the team welcomed left tackle Ronnie Stanley and center Tyler Linderbaum back to practice along with Gus Edwards and safety Marcus Williams. We will keep an eye out for the official injury report for Wednesday from both teams for more details.
