Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Wide Receiver Set to Retire From NFL

One of the most electrifying players ever to play in the National Football League, DeSean Jackson, has announced his retirement after an astonishing 16-year career.
The former 2nd round draft pick out of Cal by the Philadelphia Eagles will officially retire on Friday as a member of the organization that originally drafted him and will be recognized by the Eagles during Sunday's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers as the team's honorary captain.
Throughout his illustrious career, Jackson compiled an astonishing 641 receptions for 11,263 yards and 58 touchdowns while also adding on four punt returns for touchdowns and five kick returns for touchdowns.
Jackson was most known for being an electric deep threat in the passing game and is second in league history in most 50+ yard touchdowns only to the legendary Jerry Rice. D-Jax was a Pro Bowler three times during his career and also led the league in yards per reception in 2010 (Eagles 22.5), 2014 (Redskins 20.9), 2016 (Redskins 17.9), and 2018 (Buccaneers 18.9) - furthering his position as perhaps the best deep ball wide receiver to ever play the game.
DeSean Jackson made his way to Tampa Bay near the end of his career and only played with the organization for two seasons while Jameis Winston slung him the ball. During his short time with the Bucs, Jackson collected 91 receptions for 1,442 yards and seven touchdowns.
