Chargers Beef Up Defensive Line With Star ACC DT in Latest Second-Round Mock Draft

The Los Angeles Chargers front office has their minds set on the upcoming NFL Draft. The team is expected to use this draft to help bolster the roster, giving them more peace of mind when it comes to team building.

Los Angeles has a lot of holes across the roster, but they are confident in their ability to scout players. One area where the team could use some help is along the defensive line. While the team did bring back Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, getting more pressure on opposing quarterbacks and in the backfield is important.

In one of his mock drafts, NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter had the Bolts selecting defensive tackle Braden Fiske out of Florida State in the second round. Fiske could provide this team with a big-bodied presence along the defensive front, helping to solidify their defensive plan.

Fiske was great for Florida State last season, helping them become one of the better teams across college football. He posted 43 total tackles, nine of them for loss, along with six sacks.

The big senior defensive tackle could come in on day one and potentially start for the Bolts if he were to perform well in training camp. This is exactly the type of draft pick that the Chargers need and one that could help them long-term.
