Chargers News: Elite ACC DL Visited LA Last Week Pre-Draft

The Los Angeles Chargers are preparing themselves for the upcoming NFL Draft, doing their due diligence on different players. They have multiple needs across the roster, so the Bolts will have some work to do during draft weekend.

The team is looking to build around the trenches, something head coach Jim Harbaugh has done with all of his teams. Los Angeles lacked a consistent presence last season, so they will try to bring in more talent.

With them looking around at different prospects, they have met with a few key names. One of which is NC State defensive lineman Savion Jackson, who could provide the team with a major boost to their run defense.

Jackson played all five years of his college ball with NC State, showing strong development skills each season. He played in 12 games this season, posting 40 total tackles with 5.5 of them being for loss. Jackson also added 2.5 sacks throughout the year as well.

He was a dominating presence for the Wolfpack, giving them a strong interior lineman to put up against defenses. Jackson is very strong in the run game, something that the Chargers are looking to add to their defensive front.

Despite signing Poona Ford to a deal in free agency, the Bolts are still looking to add more players for depth purposes. Jackson could be a nice depth addition for this Chargers team, helping them build out the trenches on defense even more.
