Former Jim Harbaugh Player Believes Chargers Will Draft 'A Lot' of Michigan Players

Following an incredibly successful nine-year stint coaching his alma mater University of Michigan Wolverines, Jim Harbaugh has now opted to lead another former program he played for with the Los Angeles Chargers.

A one-time Pro Bowler with the Indianapolis Colts, Harbaugh spent a couple of years at the end of his career trying (with futility, it turns out) to help guide a young Ryan Leaf on the then-San Diego Chargers from 1999-2000 as a veteran quarterback. He finished up his career with the Carolina Panthers in 2001.

Now, to hear one of his recent players on the CFP national champion Wolverines tell it, Harbaugh seems likely to bring many of his very recent Michigan charges with him to the pros. During a new conversation on Fox Sports' NFL On Fox Podcast, Wolverines wide receiver Roman Wilson revealed that he believes Harbaugh may want to select him in this month's impending draft. All 18 Michigan players went to this year's Indianapolis-based NFL Scouting Combine.

"I wouldn't be surprised if like all nine of us end up going [to the Chargers]," Wilson said. Los Angeles currently possesses nine selections in the draft. "But seriously, like at least five or six. I think he's going to take a lot of us."

Wilson could very much still be available when the Bolts find themselves on the board with the No. 37 pick in the draft's second round. Given that LA is short some wideout help, it could be a good fit.
