Chargers Expert Sees Potential for New International Signee

Will there be a role on the team for the first-time football player?

The NFL regular season is less than 17 days away, and soon enough, your Los Angeles Chargers will be out there dueling it out on the gridiron.

The real season is upon us, and we cannot wait until it gets going. Plenty of guys on the team have a shot at cracking the 53-man roster when it's all said and done, and one player who could possibly be on the fence is L.A.'s defensive lineman C.J. Okoye. Okoye just played in his second football game this past Sunday; football, not NFL.

Okoye's story has been a revelation to many on and off the field; he's improved since he's gotten to Los Angeles and now has a shot at being considered on the roster. Still, a lot needs to happen for Okoye to stick around in L.A. Chargers expert Steven Haglund talked about his journey and where he can land on the team.

Chargers defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day is impressed with the growth of his teammate, and Chargers expert Daniel Wade has also seen the development of Okoye.

The practice squad seems like the most likely spot for C.J., and it could be a lock if he can show up and show out in Week 3 of the preseason against the San Francisco 49ers.

Experts like what they see, fans like what they see, and soon enough, we'll see if the front office and coaches could see Okoye contribute to the team in any way.
