Chargers Nab Explosive All-SEC Offensive Weapon in Fresh NFL Mock Draft
The 2024 NFL Draft is a little over two months away. The anticipation for the draft is palpable, and the Bolts have a chance to draft a franchise player.
Whether that's an offensive lineman, wide receiver, or tight end, there is no lack of options in this year's draft.
On paper, the Chargers could do no wrong. However, PFF experts Brad Spielberger and Trevor Sikkema have the Bolts going with LSU star wide receiver Malik Nabers at number five.
Naber is coming off one heck of a 2023 season with the Tigers. The 20-year-old finished his junior year with 89 catches for 1569 yards, 14 touchdowns, and averaged 17.6 yards per reception. Because of these impressive stats, Naber finished as a finalist for the 2023 Biletnikoff Award alongside winner Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and another finalist, Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.
Although the Chargers drafted a wide receiver with their 2023 first-round draft pick, it's clear they need more at that position. Nabers can provide a spark to the wide receiver room.
The 20-year-old is an explosive route runner, possesses exceptional ball skills, and has the potential to be a reliable deep threat at the pro level. Considering that Justin Herbert is throwing the ball, you could not have enough of a deep-threat option.
Nabers would be a great addition and provide a punch to this newly revamped offense.
