We continue to sit and wait to see where star WR DeAndre Hopkins will end up and we may have to be waiting for some time. He reportedly will not make his final decision until training camp rolls around which is just over a month from now for most teams and we'll see if the Los Angeles Chargers win the sweepstakes.

Initially when the 31-year-old free agent first worked out a release from the Arizona Cardinals, the Bolts were listed as a potential landing spot. With Kellen Moore taking over as their new offensive coordinator, he definitely wants as many weapons for Justin Herbert to utilize and Hopkins also listed the young star QB as someone he would love to suit up alongside with.

However, it's looking like the New England Patriots are the current favorite to bring him in next as they landed a visit with him and many experts are warning the franchise to not fumble the deal.

In-Person Recruiting Is Powerful

To add on to the Patriots being a top-heavy favorite to welcome in Hopkins, he took some pictures during his visit and one of them was posted by the star WR himself.

The photo featured him standing next to New England's LB Matthew Judon and he referred to him as family in the caption.

Following the visit, Judon simply said that the potential signing is out of his control and that it will ultimately be up to Hopkins and the Patriots' front office to come to an agreement or continue on their respective ways.

Therefore, the Chargers may be out of the mix especially when you consider that Hopkins is looking for a similar deal that Odell Beckham Jr. signed earlier this offseason.

OBJ's deal is worth around $15 million and LA will probably want to focus on rounding out their entire roster with that amount of money.

"REPORT: Free agent All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins is looking for a contract that's similar to what Odell Beckham Jr. got, per @mlombardiNFL on the @PatMcAfeeShow. “I know Tennessee did a tremendous job when he was there but they flew him out on Southwest.”

We wish D-Hop the best whether he ends up with the Bolts or elsewhere.
