Chargers News: Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack Not Practicing On Wednesday
Two key parts of the Chargers' defense have already missed some time this season, and it doesn't seem to be getting better any time soon.
Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack were not seen at practice on Wednesday, and ahead of their game against the Raiders on Sunday, it looks like they could either not be ready to play, or could be on a snap count come Sunday.
The emergence of Tuli Tuipulotu definitely eases my mind a little bit about Joey Bosa's absence. He's already on a historic rate in the QB pressures category, and he's become a kind of menace for the Bolts' defensive front.
The one I'd be more concerned about is Khalil Mack. If Tuipulotu is moving over to cover for Bosa, that doesn't give the Chargers many options behind Mack.
The best case scenario is that they just have the day off at practice to help get them back to full health, and we'll see them back at practice tomorrow.
Injury reports should come out soon, so we'll see if there's anything inherently wrong with them, but optimistically we'll see them at practice in the morning.
If they can't go this week, facing Josh Jacobs and that Las Vegas offense that relies so heavily on the run will be a pretty tall task.
Also, a kind of concerning note is that another key defensive player wasn't seen at practice.
As long as all three of them are there for walk-throughs on the day they need to be there, everything should be fine, but for the time being, just relax and everything should work itself out.
The Chargers keep finding ways to stay in ballgames despite arguably their two best players not being ready week in and week out.
