Cowboys vs. Seahawks Predictions for NFL Preseason Week 2 on Saturday, 8/19
The final results of both the Cowboys and Seahawks Week 1 games were different, but there were still positives and negatives on all sides that could be taken from last week. Dallas lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who actually played a fair amount of their starters, by a score of 28-23. Seattle, meanwhile, defeated the Minnesota Vikings 24-13. Relatively no starters were featured on either side in that contest.
Seattle’s defense was much more sound than Dallas’, but both teams’ offenses were the true stars of the show. They both had 330+ yards of total offense and kept the defense on its heels throughout the contests. We believe much of the same will happen in their matchup this weekend. Rather than focusing on a spread or money line bet, we’re looking at the total in our Cowboys vs. Seahawks predictions.

Our Cowboys vs. Seahawks predictions see a solid amount of points being scored this weekend, as the two squads combined for 47 in Week 1. The Cowboys may not have gotten the victory, but that certainly wasn’t due to their offense. Quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Will Grier both played fantastic, finishing with a combined stat line of 32/43 for 282 yards and two touchdowns to one interception. Even Deuce Vaughn produced a solid performance out of the backfield, finishing with one touchdown on 6.2 yards per carry.
On Seattle’s side of things, they too got excellent play out of their signal callers last week. Drew Lock and Holton Ahlers combined for 21/28 for 233 yards and three touchdowns to one interception. The Seahawks also amassed over 100 yards of rushing on the day and ended the game averaging six yards per play.
Defensively, Dallas was awful and surrendered over 400 yards of total offense to the Jags in Week 1. Seattle was much better, but even they let Nick Mullens finish his day with a 70% completion percentage.
