Falcons vs. Jaguars Prediction, Player Prop Bets & Lineups for 10/1

USATSI_19345946

Another exciting week of NFL actions is upon us, as the Lions and Packers already kicked off Week 4 on Thursday Night Football. Now, we are set for another glorious Sunday football slate, and we’re ready to make our Falcons vs. Jaguars predictions, as well as player prop picks.

As part of the international series, the Falcons and Jaguars are overseas in London for an early morning showdown that kicks off at 9:30 AM ET. The Falcons come into this game with a 2-1 record, suffering their first loss last week to the Lions in a disappointing 20-6 fashion.

The Jaguars, on the other hand, are also coming off a brutal loss, at home to the Texans no less, who some were calling the worst team in the NFL in the first couple of weeks. The Jaguars are in fact favored in this one, and they’re listed as the home team, despite this game being played on neutral ground in England.

Continue reading for our Falcons vs. Jaguars prop bets and spread predictions. We will also go into detail about a PointsBet Sportsbook promo worth up to $1,000, as well as an Underdog Fantasy promotion worth $500.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction for Sunday, 10/1

This morning, we get to watch NFL football overseas for the first time this year. The 9:30 AM ET start is always fun, and the Falcons and Jags should provide a great game for fans in London. To start off our prediction, let’s look at the Falcons.

Atlanta struggled to put points on the board last week, as they only put up six in the loss to Detroit in Week 3. The Falcons looked to be in good shape offensively in weeks 1-2, but that didn’t continue against the Lions solid defense. Desmond Ridder was just 21/38 passing for a total of 201 yards. The Falcons failed to score a touchdown for the first time this season, which isn’t a great sign heading into Sunday.

Now, let’s break down the Jaguars form after their 37-17 defeat to Houston. The Jaguars struggled a bit on both sides of the ball, as Trevor Lawrence went 27/40 passing and threw an interception. This wasn’t T-Law’s greatest performance, but he still threw for 279 yards, which is a good sign moving forward. Travis Etienne looked sharp as he rushed for 88 yards, and Cristian Kirk caught a touchdown pass and went for 54 yards. Evan Engram also looked solid with his 67 yards receiving on seven catches.

When it comes to the Jaguars defense, however, they’ll need to bounce back big time against Atlanta. This defense is certainly capable, as we saw them hold Mahomes and the reigning champion Chiefs to only 17 points just two weeks ago.

Our official Falcons vs. Jaguars prediction is that Desmond Ridder and the Falcons offensive struggles will continue into this Sunday, and the Jaguars defense will do enough to allow Trevor Lawrence and the offense to get a bounce-back win by more than just a field goal. Let’s go with the Jaguars -3 (-110 at PointsBet) for this international showdown.

Falcons vs. Jaguars Player Prop Picks Targeting Travis Etienne Jr. and Trevor Lawrence

On top of our main spread pick, we also want to provide you with a couple of Falcons vs. Jaguars player props as well. Our picks will be centered around two of Jacksonville’s stars for Sunday.

First, let’s discuss Travis Etienne Jr. Etienne leads the Jags rushing attack with 205 yards and a touchdown so far on the season. He gets plenty of touches per game, and we expect more of the same this week. Etienne Jr. failed to find the end zone last week in the loss, so we expect a big game out of him here, including at least one TD. Let’s go with Travis Etienne Jr. Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+105 at PointsBet Sportsbook).

Now, let’s dive into our Trevor Lawrence player prop pick. Lawrence has an impressive 736 yards passing through three weeks this season. We believe the Falcons defense isn’t the greatest, and Lawrence is due for a huge game after the loss last week. If the Jaguars are going to win this game, we believe Lawrence will need to go for at least 250 yards passing. We’re confident he can get it done with Calvin Ridley, Cristian Kirk and Evan Engram leading the way in receptions. The current line on Trevor Lawrence passing yards is Over 235.5 yards (-110 at PointsBet). We’re going with the over here, and we recommend you do the same.

Money Line: Falcons (+130) vs. Jaguars (-160)

Jaguars Injury Report Ahead of Sunday

The Jaguars are relatively healthy at the moment, but there are a couple of injuries that should be noted before today’s kickoff. WR Zay Jones didn’t practice Wednesday and doesn’t look likely to suit up against Atlanta. This isn’t a huge deal with Kirk and Ridley in the lineup, though. Also, linebacker Devin Lloyd has a thumb injury and will likely miss multiple games.

Coach Pederson stated that Lloyd won’t be making the trip to London. today, and bet on our Falcons vs. Jaguars prop bets and predictions.
