Josh Allen, Christian Kirk React to Texans Trading for Stefon Diggs

What does the Stefon Diggs trade mean for the Jaguars moving forward?

The Houston Texans made the latest move in the AFC South arms race on Wednesday, dealing for disgruntled star wide receiver Stefon Diggs and giving up a 2025 second-round pick in the process.

The move was the latest shot against bow from Houston to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and Indianapolis Colts -- and more than just fans and analysts took notice to the move and its fallout.

"How come everytime anything happens in the league I gotta catch all these strays 😂" Kirk posted on X before following it up.

"Where’s the faith at?? We’re just gonna lay it down before we even take a snap?!" Kirk said.

Kirk wasn't alone, either, with the blockbuster trade also preceeding a tweet from star pass-rusher Josh Allen.

"The battles are always won or lose in the trenches. #checkthetape" Allen said.

In short, the Jaguars' locker room knows the Texans are now the media darlings in the AFC South. The Jaguars are unlikely to be a favorite pick to win the division this offseason, a stark contrast from a year ago.

"Well, you can you never have enough of any position. You've got to have bodies and you've got to have the right guys," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said last week at the league meetings when asked about the AFC South stockpiling star wide receivers.

"The right guys that come in and add to your culture. But when you think of some of the young quarterbacks and teams are playing in more 11 personnel nowadays, and having three guys. It's important that you have those guys. Our division, the AFC South, got better in a hurry just at the quarterback position. You look at some of the teams that we have to face in Tennessee and Indy, they all have pretty good receiver rooms. So, can never have enough.”
