The offseason plan

Just between myself, the defensive staff, the offensive staff just kind of being on the same page with what we want from a player perspective. Having that plan and then myself along with Brandt [Tilis] attacking that plan and executing, so I feel really good about it."

"Those are always difficult conversations and decisions from the seat that I'm in. We love Brian - the player he is, the person he is... but sometimes you've got to make tough decisions. Salary cap along with draft capital that we got, we felt like it was time to pull the trigger and make a move. We felt like the timing was right."

Trading for WR Diontae Johnson

"We talked to people, it's a small league. We did our research and we're thorough in everything that we do. We felt really good about Diontae and what he would bring to our team and not just from a playing standpoint, but a person as well. We're really excited about him."

If there's a consideration to draft a tight end

"Tommy Tremble, he's one of those guys that we hold in high regard. The way that he developed last year and the way that we feel like he's coming along, we're really excited about that. Ian Thomas is a blocking veteran and he's one of the better blocking Ys at the point of attack. And then Stephen Sullivan is another guy we're excited about. It's not like we don't have tight ends because we are excited about our guys, but again we're always going to be looking to fill our roster out and draft or sign good football players."

The decision on Jaycee Horn's fifth-year option

"No, we haven't made a decision on that yet. We obviously think very highly of Jaycee and the player that he is. I think he's one of the better corners in the NFL. He's had some unfortunate injuries that are kind of out of his hands, but we love Jaycee and the player and the person that he is."

Contract negotiations with Derrick Brown

"I'm not going to put any timetable on it. We have had some good discussions with his agent, but as of right now we're working through that and hopefully it ends up working out in the end, which I think it will."
