For the Raiders, Next Season is Pivotal
The Las Vegas Raiders will have new coaches and players heading into next season. On offense, they could have a new starting quarterback and potentially three new offensive linemen, with a new offensive line coach.
After two consecutive seasons of being one of the better offensive lines in the National Football League, the Raiders' offensive line will be tasked with continuing that trend.
Many others will depend on that unit's success, as the importance of the offensive line cannot be overstated.
The Raiders will have either a brand new quarterback or a solidified starting quarterback in Aidan O'Connell if he wins the offseason quarterback battle against a player yet to be named.
With valuable experience now under his belt, a better coaching staff around him, and an entire offseason to fully train, O'Connell arguably has the most riding on the upcoming season for Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Raiders must take the next step next season. All-Pro WR Davante Adams only has so much time left.

While it is expected the Raiders will try to bring back running back Josh Jacobs, whether he signs or not, next season is an essential season for both him and his backup, Zamir White. Jacobs has proven his worth to the organization during his time with the team.
As Jacobs gets older, he'll eventually need a dependable player to step up for a few plays here and there. White has shown he can do that or be a starting running back. Now could be when the Raiders begin to split the carries more evenly between the two to potentially help prolong Jacobs' effectiveness.
All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams has repeatedly spoken about wanting to play for a contender as he ages. Adams has logged another season to his storied career, however, and there's only so much time left for Adams to reach the team goals he has set. The Raiders will have to show progress this season to keep Adams content.
Lastly, Raiders new General Manager Tom Telesco and Coach Antonio Pierce have the opportunity to get off to a good start in their tenure together by masterminding a successful NFL Draft and free agency period, and putting it all together on the field come football season.
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
