Andrew Whitworth will be remembered as one of the most outstanding offensive linemen in the history of the Los Angeles Rams franchise.

After spending the first 11 years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he could not secure a playoff victory, Whitworth decided to pursue a fresh start. In 2017, he made a move by signing with the Rams during the free agency period.

Whitworth played five seasons with the Rams, during which he achieved numerous accolades and accomplishments. He earned a Pro Bowl selection, first-team All-Pro recognition, and most notably, contributed to the team's Super Bowl LVI championship. Whitworth's off-field impact was also recognized when he was honored with the 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

While Whitworth doesn't spend much time dwelling on his Hall of Fame candidacy, he made a compelling case for his inclusion in Canton during an interview with the Rams. If one were to argue his Canton status, it would be difficult to overlook his impressive achievements and impact on the game.

"I think Sean (McVay) said this when I retired," Whitworth said. "I forget the statistic. But it's like the amount of games I started, won a Walter Payton Man of the Year trophy and a Super Bowl, there are only three people in NFL history that have accomplished that. I think it's me, Peyton (Manning) and Eli (Manning). You're in rare, rare – like, a lot of those things put you in rare positions."

Although Whitworth recognizes that he possesses the resume to potentially secure a spot in the Hall of Fame and could make a compelling case for Canton, that is not his primary focus. Instead, Whitworth is committed to giving back and making a positive impact off the field.

"It's like, yeah, could I argue it? But I don't really want to," Whitworth said. "I think I got everything out of this game that I could ever dream or ever want, and I can't wait to keep giving back to it. There are so many guys that I get to mentor and lean on, and to me, that's what I think about right now. What can I give back to the game and help some other guy get to where he wants to get and reach his dream."

As his playing days are over, Whitworth remains a pillar of the NFL community through his impactful work off the field. His dedication and contributions beyond the game solidify his legacy as a remarkable figure in football and a true role model for future generations.

And perhaps one day soon, he can continue that work with a gold jacket.
