'Durability Concerns' Effects Ravens Offensive Ranking

The Baltimore Ravens have a collection of offensive talent that is the envy of the league, but there are some concerns over Todd Monken's unit.

The AFC is stacked with talented rosters everywhere we look, and the Baltimore Ravens are one team that some feel has every chance of toppling Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

With a host of new offensive weapons in Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers, and Nelson Agholor to complement the likes of Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay, Isaiah Likely, and Charlie Kolar, Baltimore's offense is as explosive as they come in the NFL...on paper at least.

But the Ringers Sheil Kapadia doesn't have Todd Monken's offense ranked in the top 10 heading into the season, instead coming in at No. 12.

"On paper, this could be the best wide receiver group that Jackson has ever played with, but it's far from a sure thing," Kapadia wrote. "Jackson's legs set a relatively high floor for the Ravens offense. He could go down as the most dynamic running quarterback in NFL history and is still only 26 years old.

"The offensive line should be good, and we know that Mark Andrews will be one of the NFL's most productive tight ends. I see a high ceiling with this unit, but they're experiencing a lot of change for one offseason, and I'm not sure it'll be a smooth transition. Throw in the durability concerns with Jackson, and I can't quite put them in the same class as the top-tier offenses."

The durability issues are more than a fair point as Jackson, Bateman, and Beckham Jr. all have had their time in the medical room, and there is a fresh optimism that all will be good to go this season.

If Baltimore can manage to stay healthy this season, they more than have enough weaponry to become a top 10 offense in the NFL, even former Raven Robert Griffin III stated that they can win the Super Bowl.

While we are basing all of this off potential as no proper snaps have taken place, doubt the Ravens' offense at your peril. Yes, there might be some initial teething issues, but when Monken's system gets rolling, it will be a sight to see.
