Shohei Ohtani is the new Paycheck King of American Sports, the two-way superstar's reported 10-year, $700 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers skyrocketing him to the peak of the top 15 salaries in our sports world - a world in which Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens remains a prince.

Ohtani has become the first player in North America to break the $70 million mark annually, vaulting himself to the top of a notable club of 15 athletes earning $50 million a season from their respective teams.
