Could Seattle Seahawks Draft Injured Michigan OL Zak Zinter?

Michigan Wolverines offensive lineman Zak Zinter could be an option in the NFL Draft for the Seattle Seahawks despite coming off a season-ending injury.

Michigan offensive lineman Zak Zinter sat on the sidelines as his Wolverines won the National Championship. However, he was a massive part of their success.

Zinter suffered a broken tibia and fibula as Michigan beat Ohio State en route to its championship, and his injuries hindered his draft stock.

However, he could be seen as a low-risk, high-reward option for teams in the NFL Draft, including the Seattle Seahawks, who are suggested as a fit for Zinter by Bleacher Report.

"Honestly, everyone's asked about it, but it's been quick," Zinter said h/t Bleacher Report. "They see me moving around great, feeling good. We had some medical yesterday and finished up some medical today, but I'm going to be ready to roll in a month. I'll be football-ready. So, it's not a huge concern with a lot of teams just seeing me move around really well."

Bleacher Report adds that Zinter could be a starter at some point during his career.

"The 6'6", 306-pounder will enter the professional ranks with a place as a well-coached interior blocker, who may be limited athletically but projects as a starter," Bleacher Report writes.

The Seahawks have been known to look at offensive line prospects on the third day of the draft. If Zinter is on their board, and the opportunity presents itself, perhaps Seattle could add some championship-level depth to its team.

The NFL Draft is set to take place from April 25-27.
