Blue Jays knuckleballer R.A. Dickey exited Saturday night's 3-2 loss in Baltimore to the Orioles with what National Post reporter John Lott tweeted was right groin tightness.
The 39-year-old former NL Cy Young award winner allowed three runs on the evening -- two earned -- before he left the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with a trainer. Despite his durability, groin problems are nothing new to Dickey, who was named an All-Star just once in his career in 2012.
On the season, Dickey has a 4.08 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 15 starts for the Blue Jays, who sit atop the AL East. His next scheduled start is Friday's series-opener in Cincinnati against the Reds.
