For the second straight season in the PBR Camping World Team Series, an eighth-seed has upset its way to the semifinals with a chance to win the championship today. The final four in the semifinals today feature matches between the top-seeded Austin Gamblers vs. eighth-seeded Missouri Thunder and the third-seeded Texas Rattlers vs. fifth-seeded Arizona Ridge Riders. The teams that are not able to win in the semifinals will advance to the third-place match today before the championship match. Missouri is looking to become the second team in a row, the first two years of the PBR Team Series, to advance to the championship and win as the eighth seed.

So far in the playoffs this season in the playoffs, Missouri has lost its head-to-head matches, then came back to win both “last chance” matches against the other teams that lost in the first round and in the quarterfinals.
There is not another last-chance match for Missouri. A loss sends the team to the third-place game, which would be a win after the regular season guaranteeing a top-four finish after entering the playoffs in last place.
That will be a tough match against an Austin team that has been the top team in the series all year. Austin is led by one of the best individual riders in the world today, Jose Vitor Leme, with a team built around him to win the 2023 PBR Camping World Team Series this season after dominating the regular season.
