The Hoyas lost the first meeting 57-56 in January but won the rematch 51-43 on February 20th. That win was the first of the current win streak that has led them to the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament. The Hoyas got to the quarterfinals by beating Xavier 62-40. They shook off a slow start to dominate the second and third quarters. They trailed the Musketeers 16-9 after the first quarter but outscored them 41-10 in the next two quarters to take control and get the win.

The Red Storm had a much tougher time in their first tournament game, but they persevered and got the 56-50 victory over Marquette.
The Red Storm trailed by one at the end of the first quarter to the Golden Eagles, but outscored them by eight over the next two quarters to take control.
The win pushed their record to 17-13 overall and Saturday they will look to get that 18th win and advance to the semifinals.
