South Dakota State (26-5) won the conference going undefeated in 16 games while North Dakota State (21-10) only lost three games in conference going 13-3 overall. Two of those three losses, including the regular season finale for the Bison, came to their opponents today. This season the Jackrabbits have been dominant in conference, winning 14 of 16 games against Summit League teams by 13-plus points and cruising their way to the championship game with back-to-back wins by exactly 13 points in the Summit Tournament.

In the regular season finale the Jackrabbits ran away with an 89-74 win after being up by just two points at the half. They maintained their composure and outscored the Bison 13 points in the second half to cruise to the win.
Three Jackrabbits finished scoring 20-plus points led by Brooklyn Meyer with 29 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Paige Meyer added 24 points and Madison Mathiowetz went 5-7 from three scoring 21 points. Those three combined for 74 points, as much as the entire Bison team.
Heaven Hamling led the Bison with 23 points going 4-7 from three in the loss. Elle Evans added 19 points on 4-6 shooting from three. The rest of the team combined for 32 points on 2-11 shooting from three. To pull off the upset today and win the Summit Tournament, the Bison will need more from the rest of the team along with Hamling and Evans.
