The Purple Eagles had a fairly easy time getting to the title game, earning an 87-70 win over third-seeded Siena on Friday. Sisters Angel Parker and Aaliyah Parker led the Niagara offense with 13 points, but Amelia Strong and Lore Porter finished right behind with 12 points apiece. Saige Glover pulled down a team-leading 12 rebounds to go along with four points in the team's semifinal win.

The Stags earned a spot in the championship game after beating Canisius on Friday in a 77-64 victory. The team was led offensively by Janelle Brown who finished the game with 19 points. Meghan Andersen finished closely behind with 16 points and three other Stags finished in double figures. One of those players was Emina Selimovic who finished with a team-high 12 rebounds and 11 points to earn a double-double in the semifinal win.
The last time Fairfield and Niagara met during the regular season resulted in a rather lopsided score as the Stags earned a 95-65 victory.
