The Bobcats struck first with a goal in the second quarter, but Tara McNally evened the score just minutes later. In the fourth quarter, Quinnipiac scored again to take a 2-1 lead. Silvia Vetter scored the equalizer less than a minute later to take the game into overtime. Less than three minutes in, the Bobcats scored the game winner. Pieke Roos made five saves in goal for the Pride.

The Huskies will look to break a two game losing streak on Friday as they enter the game with an overall record of 6-8 and a conference record of 2-2. The team's most recent game resulted in a close 4-3 loss to cross-town rival No. 12 Boston College on Tuesday afternoon. The Huskies were forced to play from behind after the Eagles took a 3-0 lead into halftime. Lilly Smith scored her fifth goal of the year right out of the locker room to put her team on the board. Mak Graves followed with her fourth goal to bring the game within one. Graves struck again to tie things up with 10 minutes to play in the game. With just under two minutes to play, the Eagles put the game winner in and the Huskies were unable to counter.
When these two teams met last season, Northeastern won 2-1 in overtime.
