How to Watch Top 25 College Football Teams: Stream 2023 Season Free Live, Channels
The 2023 college football season will be filled with excitement and intrigue. The reigning national champions, Georgia, return a loaded roster but must replace some key pieces, including quarterback Stetson Bennett. Conference rival Alabama likewise returns a roster full of future NFL stars but must find a replacement at quarterback after Bryce Young, the 2021 Heisman winner, went No. 1 in the most recent NFL draft. Michigan, meanwhile, which was upset in the college football playoff by TCU, will also be one of the favorites to win a national championship, as it does bring back its quarterback, star signal-caller JJ McCarthy. The coaches poll top 25 was recently released by USA Today, and it has Georgia at No. 1, Michigan at No. 2 and Alabama at No. 3.

No real big surprises in this ranking, as Georgia has been recruiting at an extremely high level over recent years and is set to return another roster full of future NFL players. Michigan brings back one of the best quarterbacks in the country, Alabama's defense will be loaded and Ohio State could have the best offense in all of college football. Florida State being back as a top 10 preseason contender after a few down years is noteworthy, but the team does return a good chunk of a roster that just went 10-3, including star quarterback Jordan Travis and stud running back Trey Benson, as well as monster defensive end Jared Verse. That brings us to our next point.

Biggest Week 1 College Football Games to Watch
Week one of the college football season is always an exciting weekend in every college football fan's calendar, and the 2023 season is no different, as various elite matchups await us in the full opening weekend of action.
For one, a top-10 matchup between No. 8 Florida State and No. 5 LSU, a rematch of last year's chaotic season opener (a 24-23 Seminoles victory that ended with a blocked extra point), will take place on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. ET. A rematch with much higher expectations (LSU won the SEC West last season and returns prolific quarterback Jayden Daniels) should be an intense affair.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Sept. 2, the annual North Carolina vs. South Carolina showdown will take place with both teams bringing back star passers: the No. 20 Tar Heels with Drake Maye and the Gamecocks with Spencer Rattler.
Other exciting matchups from the opening weekend all take place on Saturday, Sept. 2: Colorado at No. 16 TCU (Deion Sanders' first game coaching a power-five program, where he'll lead the Buffaloes against the national runner-ups last season, the Horned Frogs), West Virginia at No. 7 Penn State (both major programs are under pressure to take the next step) and Florida at No. 14 Utah (a rematch of last year's game, which saw the Gators win 29-26 in Gainseville, with this matchup taking place in Salt Lake City).
