The first of the major college football showcase games ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft takes place this Thursday night in Dallas, with the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl. The top prospect at this year's game is Texas tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders. A projected Day 2 pick, Sanders is a tremendous athlete at the tight end position at 6-foot-4, 243 pounds. He has a chance to be the second tight end off the board this year after Georgia's Brock Bowers.
Among the top defensive players is Utah edge rusher Jonah Elliss. The son of former NFL Pro Bowl defensive lineman Luther Elliss, Jonah had 12 sacks in just 10 games this year for the Utes, and another 16 tackles for a loss. Elliss is projected to be a Day 2 pick in this year's NFL Draft.
