Through two rounds, the top two teams at the inaugural St. Andrews Collegiate Invitational tournament in both the men’s and women’s tournaments are UNC and Vanderbilt. As the final round tees off Wednesday, the Commodores (-23) hold a five-stroke lead over the Tar Heels (-18), who are in second place in the men’s tournament. Over in the women’s tournament the Tar Heels (+19) are the top team, holding a 10 stroke lead over the Tar Heels after building on their first round lead. The other two schools in this event, Georgetown and Notre Dame, are in third and fourth place with a massive gap to make up today to finish in contention for a championship win.

The Fighting Irish are in third place in the men’s event and fourth in the women’s, with the Hoyas flip-flopping as the third team in the women’s and fourth team in the men’s events.
A large part of the Commodores lead in the men’s event is the play of Jackson Van Paris (nine-under-par) and Cole Sherwood (six-under-par), as the top two individual golfers in the field. Peter Fountain (five-under-par) and Kenan Poole (four-under-par) are in third and fifth place for the Tar Heels.
The Tar Heels are dominating the women’s event with four players in the top nine, including the leader Kayla Smith (two-under-par), fourth and fifth place golfers Ing Iadpluem and Crista Izuzquiza (four-over-par) and Vilde Marie Nystrom (six-over-par) in ninth place.
