It all comes down to the final 18 holes today at the 2023 Showcase at Cedar Crest in Dallas, Texas. This is the inaugural playing of this tournament, which features 21 of the best individual African-American college golfers for the best men’s and women’s fields. Gregory Odom Jr. took over the lead in the men’s tournament in the second round with a 66 moving him to seven under par. He holds a one-stroke lead over the field. In the women’s tournament, Allyn Stephens is at five under par, two strokes ahead of the rest of the field that only has three total golfers under par heading into the final round.

The women’s field is more or less down to the final three players led by Stephens who is two strokes ahead of both Emma Henningsson and Amber Pennington who are at three under par.

All three of the women in contention shot better rounds yesterday than they did in the first round building momentum entering today’s final round. Stephens (66), Henningsson (63) and Pennington (68) all looked terrific in the second round.

For the men’s tournament, there are seven players under par behind Odom Jr. all looking to make a comeback here today. Joshua Siplin is alone in second place at six under par, and KJ Ofahengaue and Christian Rodriguez are tied for third place at five under par. There are two more tied at two under par and two more at one under par with a longshot opportunity for a comeback today.
