How to Watch U.S. Championships: Rhythm Dance Program: Stream Figure Skating Live, TV Channel

The pairs dance competition will kick off at U.S. Championships on Thursday with the rhythm dance portion.

The U.S Championships are underway in Columbus, Ohio and on Thursday afternoon, the Rhythm Dance Program will take place as the field looks to get off to a strong start with the hopes of finishing on the podium after the event on Sunday. Madison Chock and Evan Bates will be the pair to watch in Rhythm Dance as they are currently ranked third in the world behind Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri from Italy and Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson. Chock and Bates have a season-high score of 89.15 that was recorded at the Grand Prix Finals back in December.

Caroline Green and Michael Parsons are the next highest-ranked international pair at 10th with a score of 81.40. The pair's most recent competition was the 2023 Cup of China in which they finished in third place.  Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko are right behind Green and Parsons in the world rankings and have an international best of 78.40.

The rhythm dance results are always unpredictable as the potential for mistakes doubles in pairs competition. In rhythm dance, the pairs need to combine a pattern dance, a choreographic rhythm sequence, a short lift, a step sequence in which the pairs are not touching and one set of sequential twizzles.

Tune in on Thursday afternoon to see the pairs begin their competition with the rhythm dance portion.
