In the semifinals the Vikings defeated fifth-seeded Shiloh Christian 56-46 to advance to the state championship game while the Firebirds came away with a win over third-seeded Grafton 64-53 in their semifinal game.

During the playoffs, the top-ranked Vikings are averaging 60.7 points per game and allowing just 46.5 points to opponents. They have won three of four games by double-digits and are applying the best basketball of the season right now.

For the Firebirds, they won four of their five playoff games by double-figures and all five by at least nine points. So far in the playoffs they are averaging 75.4 points per game and allowing 54.4 points to opponents. These two teams have proven to be the absolute best in NDHSAA Division A all season and in the playoffs.
